SMPP Access Descriptions (SMPP API)
The SMS SMPP interface offers the following functions
- Sending single- or multi-page SMS messages
- Receipt of delivery confirmations
- Support for the GSM 7-bit alphabet as well as parts of the Unicode character set
The following requirements must be met to use SMPP access
- The customer needs an eCall account
- SMPP access must be activated for this account
- The specifications according to SMPP Protocol v3.4 2.3 apply
Single or multiple users
The SMPP interface can be used for a single user or multiple users. Please contact our support team for further information.
Information about the SMPP connection – Host, IP, and Port
Host: smpp.ecall.ch (193.93.208.139)
Port: 2776 for TLS 1.2 and 1.3

Supported Commands
The following list of commands is supported by the eCall SMPP access:
- bind_receiver
- bind_transmitter
- bind_transceiver
- submit_sm
- unbind
- enquire_link
- deliver_sm
Unsupported commands
The following list of commands is not supported by the eCall SMPP access:
- replace_sm
- cancel_sm
- submit_multi
- data_sm
- query_sm
Note: If an unsupported command is used, the following error code is sent: “ESME_RINVCMDID” (0x00000003)
